Haiku for the Lonely-Hearted #36 (31 December 2015)

did you see the moon?
yellow light guiding me home
pulling me to you

Haiku for the Lonely-Hearted #35

Haiku for the Lonely-Hearted #35 (30 December 2015)

Simple reminder
Walking glowing forest paths
Your arm soft in mine

Slow Burn

Slow Burn (29 December 2015)

that
slow burn
behind my eyes
tucking in
for the night
below the collarbone

my skin
my bones
feel dry, helpless
in all the grey
dust in my knees
dirt on my palms

I cough
and rattle
paper thin
empty,
carved out
to black
beneath the rib

my heart goes on
my quiet discomfort
unavoidable always
brushing against
the rough
of my chest

my heart goes on
and on
and on

Glow

Glowing hibiscus
Red staining my fingertips
Calling you forward

Haiku for the Lonely-Hearted #33

Haiku for the Lonely-Hearted #33 (28 December 2015)

What did the clock read?
The moment you slipped away
I forgot to look.

Haiku for the Lonely-Hearted #32

Haiku for the Lonely-Hearted #32 (27 December 2015)

this melancholy
frosty veil of somber clouds
north winds in my chest

Haiku for the Lonely-Hearted #31

Haiku for the Lonely-Hearted #31 (26 December 2015)

slow cup of coffee
cold, snowy winter morning
takes me back to you

Haiku for the Lonely-Hearted #30

Haiku for the Lonely-Hearted #30 (25 December 2015)

silent, holy night
peace, hope in this lonely heart
small white light, glowing
